Welcome to the new site of the "renewed" Eastern Insurance and Reinsurance Company.

This year we celebrate our anniversary - 10 years of activity on the Russian insurance market. It is quite a long period. And quite enough has been made within this period.

We entered the reinsurance market in 2001, and the market was already formed by that time. Despite this, we entered Top-5 of largest Russian reinsurers. And we hold a strong position not only in the regions, but also in the Moscow market. In addition, we have built up a portfolio of international business. Today, it makes a quarter of all our reinsurance incomes.

A significant event of this year was the completion of accession of "The Eastern Reinsurance Company" to the insurance company "Megapolis". The authorized capital of the new company amounted to 600 million rubles. And the brand "Eastern Re" grown up to the "Eastern Insurance and Reinsurance Company".

Now we are completing the preparations for the promotion of a new brand. The new site of the company has been launched; we are preparing the new programs with enhanced capabilities for our partners.

Reinsurance remains to be a strategic direction for the company. We plan to develop a direct insurance accurately and consistently. There will not be any skewed toward unprofitable types of insurance.

The company's plans for the coming years are not only to reach a new level of business in Russia, but also to expand its activity abroad, which will be achieved through the increase of reinsurance capacities, as well as through achievement of international insurance rating.
